Abstract

Getting to YES With the Middle Class argues why progressives should be talking about success and offers the elements of a success agenda for the middle class.

Description

Progressives consider themselves to be the defenders and suitors of the middle class, but there’s a missing ingredient in the policies progressives now offer to the middle class. That missing ingredient is success—while Americans may believe that the progressive agenda will help them in times of trouble, they do not currently believe that the progressive agenda will help them get ahead. This memo argues why progressives should be talking about success and offers the elements of a success agenda for the middle class.
