Ryan McConaghyDeputy Director of the Economic Program
Ryan McConaghy, a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, graduated from American University in 2000 with a BA in Political Science and a minor degree in International Studies. He joined the office of Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) as an intern in the fall of 1999 and progressed to the position of Legislative Assistant, working on energy policy, national defense issues, foreign affairs, agriculture, and other matters. In 2006 he served as Policy Director for Whitehouse for Senate during Sheldon Whitehouse’s successful campaign against Senator Lincoln Chafee in Rhode Island. Throughout the 110th Congress he served as the Legislative Director for Congressman John Hall (D-NY19), a freshman representative from New York’s Hudson Valley.
